Ayn Rand I don't embrace her philosophy, but she made millions of people at least actually think about individualism and capitalism.  Alleged cult leader.

Murray Rothbard I would have loved to see Rothbard and Rand in the same room together when they were still alive.  Another alleged cult leader.

F.A. Hayek I highly recommend reading Hayek's "The Use of Knowledge in Society."  It's only a few pages long.

Timothy Leary I'd say he's one of the most interesting people of the twentieth century.  The Beatles (who can bite my ass) even wrote a song for him.
