Removing excess margin from a Postscript (PS) file

Its not too hard. You just need psnup from the psutils package, which is freely available. If you are using a unix variant, you can probably just ask your package manager for psutils. I did this under Linux. This resizes the remaining file to be bigger as well. It is useful if you are printing multiple sheets per page and dont want so much white space.

The command (adjust the 108 for more or less. And that is a dash-one, not a dash-L):

$ psnup -1 -b-108 file.ps file_zoomed.ps

To make it into a PDF (you will need the ghostscript package for this one. I have ESP ghostscript installed.):

$ ps2pdf13 file_zoomed.ps file_zoomed.pdf

Here are some more Postscript Tricks.
