I have to admit that I occasionaly get Neal Stephenson mixed up with Bruce Sterling.
I hope that nither of them would take it as an insult.
Neal Stephenson caught my attention with his astute observations of the computer operating system space in
In the Beginning...Was the Command Line.
His Cryptonomicon
sparked a profound interest in both WWII and crytography in me, while
Zodiac: The Eco-Thriller
gave me some perspective on the evironment. Stephenson makes a credible renisance man in the Technology/Futurism arena.
No matter what your tastes, from the real to the imagined, if it has to do with technology Stephenson probably has something on the subject.
