May 14th, 2004 This article is pathetic I am really disapointed that CNN would quote complete morons. Lewis said that increased use of the Internet by gangs is fueled in part by chat rooms and bulletin boards on gangsta rap artists' Web sites.Yeah... right. And you shouldn't go outside with a wet head because you'll get sick. And you shouldn't swim after eating, because you'll drown. I don't even like gangsta rap, but I know enough to know that the bulliten boards on their sites are no more likely to insite people to riot than IRC. The more likely explination for the increased use of the internet by gangs, is the discrimination of internet technology to poorer people. I also read Interview with Brother Guy Consolmagno, which has one of the best discussions of science and theology that I have seen in a long time. |
